VR&E counselors assist veterans with service-connected disabilities in developing small business plans, providing counseling, equipment, licenses, and initial operating capital for veterans for whom traditional employment is not feasible.
Available to veterans enrolled in VR&E with qualifying employment handicapFederal contracting set-asides, sole-source contracts, and SBA/VA certification programs that give certified veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses a competitive advantage in federal procurement.
Free two-day entrepreneurship education course offered through TAP at military installations, plus 8-week online follow-on course, helping veterans develop business plans and connect with SBA resources.
Available to transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and their spousesVocational counseling, job training, education, and placement assistance for veterans whose service-connected disabilities create an employment handicap. Covers tuition, books, supplies, and a monthly subsistence allowance.
