Earned. Not charity.

You earned these benefits through service. Finding them and claiming them should never cost a thing.

Why we exist

Coming home should not start a second fight. The help is real. The path to it is harder than it should be, and a veteran should not have to work that hard to reach it.

When life keeps knocking you down and the world feels empty, there is still a way through. BeneVets is here to help find that light. No soldier gets left behind. No family gets left behind either.

None of this should cost a veteran. BeneVets will do the best it can to keep it that way.

Some companies charge veterans thousands of dollars to help with claims they can file on their own for free. They call it a service. BeneVets calls it a toll on people who already paid.

Free, accredited help exists, but it is uneven and hard to find. So veterans pay, or they give up and leave benefits on the table.

What BeneVets is

Helping veterans find every benefit available in one place.

BeneVets is a free nonprofit hub for the benefits you earned. We bring VA, state, and nonprofit programs into one place and explain each one in plain English.

When you are ready to act, we fill the official VA forms from your answers so you can download them ready to sign, or file online at VA.gov. Filing is free, and it stays that way.

How it started

Walter Yenkosky's father was a retired Air Force captain. He spent his career at the VA researching veterans health. When he needed help himself, he filed and waited. Months passed. Nothing came.

Walter is a Marine machine gunner who served three combat tours in Iraq. He earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. He spent twenty years leading operations, four of them as a chief operating officer. He knew the work, and he still watched his father wait.

So he built BeneVets. BeneVets is a home for veterans after the fight is over. It is a veteran-founded 501(c)(3). The price is $0. It is not the VA. Walter is Chief Executive Officer and Founder, and he runs the nonprofit unpaid, so no veteran waits the way his father did.

Meet the people behind it.

Walter runs BeneVets. A volunteer board guides it.
